I’m a big fan of Cindy Gerard and she does not disappoint in this new book. There are two stories that are woven together so well that it is magic. Jess is slowly coming to terms with the death of her husband, Jeff. Then in walks Tyler who makes her remember what love is. Meanwhile half way around the world Jeff, who is presumed dead is suffering from PTSD and being cared for by Rabia a young Afghani women. Jeff and Rabia’s relationship is different from Jess and Tyler’s but both are heartwrenching to watch develop. The way these two romances merge is awesome. Jeff gets to come home with the help of Tyler and his BOI’s. But what does he come home to and what does he leave behind? There is heartbreak, action and a ending that you don’t expect.
You can run but you can’t hide. Mine to Hold picks up where Mine to Keep ended. Claire Kramer has been running from her past since her parents were murdered when she was sixteen. Eight years later for the first time in her life she thinks she is safe and is ready to start her life anew. Noah York is a man in control. He is in control of his business, his emotions and his heart. When danger follows Claire to Noah’s doorstep will he lose control, will she lose her heart, will they lose their lives. A fast paced romantic suspense with plenty of heat, heart-pounding action and a surprise who-dun-it. Classic Cynthia Eden. Ready, Set, Run.
Girl Three kept me guessing till the very end. When I thought I knew who the killer was I was wrong again. Jessica Croft is a bioethicist and is about to join the president’s council. With a aggressive judge as her father Jessica does not want to take this appointment. Then Jessica finds out her sister Sam has died under strange circumstances. Upon returning home Jessica knows in her heart that Sam’s death was murder. As Jessica plays detective she is hampered by suspects who’d kill to keep their secrets buried. She then stumbles upon security consultant Michael Gillette who offers his assistance, but who knows more about her sister than he admits to. Finding out her sister was not who she thought she was Jessica finds herself in a no win situation. Better the devil you know than the devil you don’t know is not always the right choice. This book was fast paced and the romance was mild if a littled stilted. Kept me entertained to the very end.

If you want a concise and informative view of Cheese and Beer Janet Fletcher delivers. The beautiful pictures and commentary on the different Beer and Cheese pairing is delighful. As a person who never knows what to pair with beer or or cheese the book was enlightening and engaging. Everything you want to know about beer from Ales to Lagers is discuused here. The introduction: “So many choices, So little time”, was an eye opener. You will find yourself wanting to try each pairing suggested. I throughly enjoyed Cheese and Beer and look forward to trying the Velvet Merlin(Stout) with double cream Cremont(Cheese) from Vermont in the future.
